Miguel Leon

I'm José Miguel León, a civil engineer by trade and an astronomy enthusiast for over a decade. Astrophotography has become my way of blending science with art: a personal journey to capture the vastness of the night sky and the fleeting moments the universe offers.

Through my lens, I strive to share more than just the beauty of stars, nebulae, and galaxies, I aim to convey the emotion of looking up and feeling a connection to something far greater. For me, photography is a bridge between technical precision and human wonder; a way to bring the grandeur of the cosmos a little closer to those who view my work.

Jorge Cancino

Jorge Cancino is an experienced event photographer from Tijuana, Mexico, with over 12 years behind the camera. His academic background includes studies in Music, Cinematography, and Communications, disciplines that have shaped his creative eye and storytelling approach.

In 2021, Jorge began his journey into astrophotography after completing a specialized course, It was through this program that he successfully captured his first image of the night sky, and since then, he hasn’t stopped.

However, his fascination with the cosmos dates back much earlier. At the age of 12, he received his first pair of glasses and for the first time, he saw the Moon clearly. That same year, 1996, the Hale-Bopp comet lit up the skies, visible to the naked eye where he lived. The experience left a lasting impression and sparked a lifelong passion for the night sky.

Jorge's work has been featured in several exhibitions and digital media outlets, including:

  • Astrophotography: A Glimpse Into the Cosmos
  • Lux: Rotation and Revolution
  • World Space Week – National Geographic LATAM (Instagram)
  • Bold Journey Magazine (Digital), San Diego, CA
